TP53 Mutant assessor

TP53 Mut Assessor is novel stand-alone software that allows the user to retrieve multiple information on every possible TP53 mutant whether or not they have been described in human cancer (B. Leroy and T. Soussi, Nucleic Acid Res. in press).

8,630 potential TP53 mutants can arise from a change at a single codon (assuming that only one aa residue is modified in the protein).
All these mutant have been documented using structural, functional and phylogenetic information
Each mutant display also includes a confidence index based on our recent analysis of the TP53 database.

Mut_assessor versus Mut_Mat 2
As shown in the table below, these two programmes do not display the same type of information, although there is a certain degree of overlap.

  • Mut_Mat_2 is devoted to analysis of novel sequencing data from clinical specimens or cell lines. It allows the user to enter up to 500 mutants and the programme check each TP53 mutant and generates tables that are ready for publication.
  • Mut_Assessor generates an ID card of TP53 mutants using multiple criteria and includes a confidence index that defines the reliability of each TP53 mutant.
